    Maintenance Tips
    • Annual Certified Servicing – Schedule annual inspection & servicing by an authorized life‑raft repacker (opening, inspection, inflation‑test, repair, repack) to ensure integrity of seams, inflation system, and survival gear.
    • Hydrostatic Release & Cylinder Checks – When serviced, confirm hydrostatic release and CO₂ inflation cylinder are current and weight‑checked/tested to standards; replace if expired or corroded.
    • Visual Inspection of Container & Pack – Periodically check the raft’s container exterior, seals, and zip closures for damage, moisture, or crushed areas that could compromise deployment.
    • Replace Consumables On Schedule – Monitor expiry of SOLAS A survival kit items (flares, food, water, medical supplies) and replace them before expiry as part of routine maintenance.
    • Stowage Environment – Store the container in a clean, dry, shaded location on deck or below, avoiding prolonged UV and heat exposure to extend fabric and pack life.
    • Cradle & Hydrostatic Unit Care – If equipped with a cradle and hydrostatic release unit (HRU), inspect the cradle mount and HRU date to ensure correct automatic deployment if the vessel sinks.
    • Training & Familiarization – Conduct controlled practice deployment and inspection drills (without CO₂ activation) so crew knows deployment steps and can spot issues early
